walker branch cleanup
September Service Project
Pack 167 walks along the Walker Branch Greenway at Rivergate Shopping Center, collecting trash. There are 2 events held each year, one in September and one in March. This event qualifies as a service project required by most ranks.
Halloween Cake Auction
October Service Project/Party
The Cake Auction is an annual charity event held on the 4th Monday in October inlieu of a typical pack meeting. The pack donates Pinterest worthy baked goods that are auctioned off by a real auctioneer.
October Camping Trip
This is a themed weekend campout put on by our local council. Lion, Tiger, Wolf and Bear Scouts will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills to include BB Shooting, Archery, Fishing, BMX, and more.

This is a themed weekend campout put on by our local council. Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills to include BB Shooting, Archery, Fishing, BMX, and more.
FALL PACK CAMPOUT
This is a more relaxed pace campout for our whole pack, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains! All scout ranks and their families are invited to participate.
thanksgiving in the woods
A few years ago, Scout Troop 167 started a tradition of having “Thanksgiving in the Woods”. This is a time for the families and siblings of the AOL Scouts to come together for fellowship and an awesome meal, “cooked in the woods”.
LAKE WYLIE CHRISTMAS PARADE
March with the pack and hand out candy canes in the annual Lake Wylie Elementary Winter Parade. The parade route goes down Moss Road from Lake Wylie Elementary to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
scouting for food
January Service Project
Scouting for Food is the official “Good Turn for America” for the Mecklenburg County Council. Scouting for Food teaches youth the value of helping others. It takes place on two consecutive weekends in late January/early February.
blue & gold banquet
The Blue & Gold Banquet is a fun and exciting gathering held every year in February. This annual event features amazing food, entertainment, decorations, and activities. You don’t want to miss it!
GOD AND ME
This is a 2 day workshop for Wolf and Bear Scouts to earn the religious emblem of faith.
The Pinewood Derby is a racing event where Cub Scouts build and race small wooden cars from an official BSA pinewood derby kit, from the local scout store.
ARROW OF LIGHT crossover
March 2-Night Campout
The Webelos Scouts hard work and dedication prepares them to be awarded their Arrow of Light, Cub Scout’s highest honor, concluding with a crossover ceremony into Boy Scouts.
April 2-Night Campout

end of year trip
June Overnight Adventure
Our Pack has a big “End of Year Trip” at the end of each Scouting year. The trip is typically planned for the end of May/early June. Past trips have included touring and spending the night aboard on the USS Yorktown at Patriot’s Point in Charleston, SC and “Sleeping with the Sharks” at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN.
The Raingutter Regatta is a racing event for Cub Scouts that is the sailboat equivalent of the pinewood derby. Official BSA Trimaran Boat Kits are available at the local scout store. This event is held in annually in June as a Summertime Pack Event.

July 3-Night Campout
Complete a large portion of your rank advancements and electives on this 4day/3night overnight summer camp at Belk Scout Camp for rising Webelos and AOL scouts.
pool & ice cream social
Come cool off in the pool with Pack 167! We’ll be making waves and eating ice cream at a local neighborhood pool. Just bring your favorite topping (no nuts) and a drink to share!
Come cool off from the heat for a great family movie and delicious popcorn! Movie Night will be held in the K-Zone at Good Shepherd Church. Bring a blanket, or your favorite folding chair, and come relax while we enjoy Hollywood’s finest.
July 3-Night Campout
Grayson Highlands trip for the rising Webelos and AOL scouts. Activities will include Biking the Virginia Creeper Trail, Hiking in beautiful Grayson Highlands National Park and then finishing the trip with Tubing in Jefferson, NC.
Scouts learn bike safety as they move through various stations setup in the church parking lot. Bring your bike or scooter and helmet.
